Editorial Nomination Intake

Nominate a Maryland Small Business

The Maryland Small Business Examiner accepts nominations year-round as part of our ongoing editorial research for the Best of Maryland Small Business Awards. Nominations help our editorial team identify outstanding businesses across the state for consideration.

How Nominations Work

An Input to Editorial Review

Nominations are not applications. Submitting a nomination tells our editorial team about a Maryland small business worth investigating, and your input becomes part of our broader research alongside public business data, customer ratings, and community presence.

Step 01

You Submit a Nomination

Tell us about the business and why you believe they deserve recognition. Submissions are reviewed by our editorial team.

Step 02

Editorial Research

Our team investigates the business using publicly available information, customer reviews, and standing within the community.

Step 03

Selection on an Editorial Basis

Recipients of the Best of Maryland Small Business Awards are selected throughout the year by our editorial team based on the merits of each business.

Please note: Submitting a nomination does not guarantee selection. The Maryland Small Business Examiner does not provide individual status updates on nominations. Recipients are notified directly when selected.

The Maryland Small Business Examiner maintains complete editorial independence. Award selection is not influenced by advertising, sponsorship, payment, or any business relationship.
