St. Mary’s Commissioners Review 2050 Comprehensive Plan, Approve Airport Lease, Grants and Other County Business

The Commissioners of St. Mary’s County handled a wide range of county business during their Tuesday, August 18, 2026 meeting, including a briefing on the draft St. Mary’s 2050 Comprehensive Plan, approval of an aviation academy lease at the county airport, several public safety and emergency management grants, and funding related to aging services. The meeting began with an invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by approval of the consent agenda. Commissioners also presented proclamations recognizing Child Support Awareness Month, National Black Business Month and National Aviation Day.
