ZZ Top is still scheduled to perform in Southern Maryland on Friday, September 11, 2026, despite the recent death of longtime drummer Frank Beard, with the legendary Texas rock band continuing its tour at Beard’s request. As of Wednesday, August 26, ZZ Top’s official tour schedule and the Calvert Marine Museum’s event calendar both continue to list the September 11 concert at the Waterside Pavilion at the Calvert Marine Museum in Solomons. The show will feature George Thorogood & The Destroyers as the special guest. The gates are scheduled to open at 5:30 p.m., with the concert beginning at 7 p.m. at 14200 Solomons Island Road South. Tickets are priced from $60 to $110, with both general admission and reserved seating available. The museum says its verified ticketing platform for Waterside Music Series concerts is Etix and warns that tickets purchased through third-party resellers cannot be verified.
