Louis Eugene Messineo, 31, of Mechanicsville; Francis S. Miles, 64, of Lexington Park; and Linda M. Bond, 31, of Lexington Park, are facing a combined 31 misdemeanor charges alleging possession of crack cocaine, cocaine and heroin, along with multiple counts of possessing drug paraphernalia, following a Maryland State Police investigation in Great Mills on August 21, 2026. Messineo faces 11 charges, while Miles and Bond each face 10. The investigation began at about 8:23 a.m. when a Maryland State Police trooper received a call for people reportedly unconscious inside a vehicle at the Sheetz on Old Great Mills Road in Great Mills. Police said the trooper arrived and found a gray Chevrolet Equinox stopped at a middle gas pump. The front registration plate was allegedly not properly displayed, and the trooper activated emergency equipment and initiated a traffic stop. The trooper reported that all of the vehicle’s occupants “appeared to be unconscious” and noted, “This was the second call for service regarding these individuals being unconscious in this vehicle.” According to the police account, the trooper initially received no response after knocking on a window.
