1. Flags at Half-Staff: Maryland Gov. Wes Moore ordered the Maryland flag to be lowered to half-staff today for International Overdose Awareness Day. The U.S. flag and Maryland flag will fly at half-staff through Tuesday per a Presidential proclamation to honor Dolly Parton’s memory.
2. Weather: Today’s forecast is mostly sunny with a high near 90 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. See more here
3. Intro to Ice Dance Clinic: From 6:45-7:45 p.m. at Wheaton Ice Arena, residents can learn the fundamentals of ice dance. Ages 8 and older. $25 fee. Register here
4. Art Exhibition Application Deadline: Artists who are interested in exhibiting at Gallery B in Bethesda have until 11:59 p.m. tonight to submit an application. See more here
5. ICYMI: Descendants of Josiah Henson reunite in Montgomery County: The descendants of abolitionist Rev. Josiah Henson, who inspired Harriet Beecher Stowe’s classic American novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin, gathered in Montgomery County recently, where their ancestor was once enslaved. Watch below:
