INDIAN HEAD, Md. — Opening Night Productions will present “North Wind” starting Friday, June 19 through Saturday, June 27. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m., with Saturday matinees at 2 p.m. All performances are at the Indian Head Black Box Theatre in Charles County.

The Saturday, June 27 matinee will feature an audience Q&A with the playwright after conclusion of the play.

“North Wind,” written by Montgomery County playwright Sarah Cosgrove Gaumond, tells the story of an unlikely trio of characters brought together in a Midwest neighborhood bar during a blizzard. The three are an older couple (Rose and “Doc” Cassiday, portrayed by Linda Hiortdahl and Robert Sebo, respectively) and a younger woman (Hannah Moore, played by Aaliyah Roach). They must face the question, “How do you move forward when everything you see reminds you of what you’ve lost?”

Ticket prices for all shows are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors, and may be purchased at www.openingnightproductions.org, or at the door. For special group sale rates, contact 410-610-6943 or email openingnites@gmail.com.

“North Wind” is Opening Night’s second show of the season, following March’s A Contrary Woman. Opening Night Productions is dedicated to the production of never-before-seen plays by Maryland, especially Southern Maryland, playwrights.
